It's raining in Piedmont!

I really can't remember the last time it rained. A month ago? Two months? I'm really not sure. But today the rain has come and it's almost welcome. To clear the dust and improve the truffles it's a good thing but for more than a year we've been waiting for a new road in our village. The local comune have a dispute as our village is split between two provinces and towns - Cisterna d'Asti and Montà d'Alba. I live in the Cisterna half, as do all but 3 families in the village but the road belongs mostly to Montà. It means Montà is responsible for maintaining the road but they don't want to pay.
Yesterday they finally started work but today it's ground to a halt because of the rain.. O well, the forecast is sunshine tomorrow.
