Why pay more? Italy needs a big boost to its economy and one thing that's really lacking is encouragement to run your own business. It's not made easy - impossible-to-understand tax laws, very high taxes and that often means your accountant will earn more than you. BUT the government will now waver 15% income tax if you start a new business after January 2012. And, if you're under 35 you'll only have to pay 5% until you're 35. Great encouragement for the young!
